AIVory Architect on Azure Marketplace

You can buy AIVory Architect through Microsoft Marketplace (Azure). The charge appears on your Azure invoice. The product is the same web app as at app.aivory.net, with the same account data.

  • Subscribe on Microsoft Marketplace: plan Team, $228 per user per year
  • 1 month free trial from Microsoft
  • Sign in with Microsoft and link your organization to the subscription
  • Connect your Azure subscription with admin consent and the Contributor role
  • One support path: [email protected]

Subscribe

  1. Open the AIVory Architect offer on Microsoft Marketplace
  2. Choose the plan Team
  3. Pick the number of users: 5 at the minimum, 1000 at the maximum
  4. Subscribe. The term is 1 year, with one payment
  5. Choose Configure account now. Microsoft sends you to AIVory
Note The plan costs $228 per user per year. Microsoft adds a 1 month free trial.

Microsoft opens the page architect-azure.aivory.net/marketplace/azure/landing.

  1. Sign in with Microsoft on the AIVory sign-in page. Choose Microsoft Entra ID. You can use a work account or a personal Microsoft account
  2. The landing page activates the subscription
  3. The landing page links the subscription to your AIVory organization

The designer opens under /architect. When you return to the landing page, for example with Manage account in the Azure portal, the page shows the subscription status after you sign in.

Assign seats

Each user who works in the organization takes a seat. The seats equal the users in your subscription.

  1. Open Billing > Marketplace > Seats
  2. Invite a user, or choose a member
  3. Assign a seat

When all seats are taken, the app does not assign a new seat. Release a seat, or add users in the Azure portal.

The seat count of an Azure subscription is set in Azure. The seats page shows a link to Azure and has no field to change the count.

Connect your Azure subscription

To deploy into your Azure subscription, Architect uses the AIVory Architect Deployer app. You do not share a client secret. Two steps give the app access.

  1. Open a design and select the Vault tab
  2. In the connect panel, choose Connect an Azure subscription
  3. Choose Grant admin consent. A global administrator of your tenant approves the AIVory Architect Deployer app
  4. Give the app the Contributor role on the subscription. Every run creates its own resource group. The panel shows the command:
a z r o l e a s s i g n m e n t c r e a t e - a s s i g n e e < d e p l o y e r - c l i e n t - i d > - r o l e C o n t r i b u t o r - s c o p e / s u b s c r i p t i o n s / < s u b s c r i p t i o n _ i d >
  1. Paste the tenant id and the subscription id into the panel and connect

If the check fails, the panel tells you which step is missing. A role change can take a minute.

Change or cancel

  • Add or remove users: change the quantity in the Azure portal. Microsoft sends the change to AIVory through a webhook, and AIVory updates your seats
  • Cancel: cancel the SaaS resource in the Azure portal. If you cancel within 72 hours of the purchase, Microsoft does not bill it
  • After you cancel: the license of your organization shows the status canceled in AIVory
  • Disconnect the Azure subscription: remove the Contributor role of the Deployer app in the Azure portal

Free trial, refunds and support

Microsoft adds a 1 month free trial to the plan. Microsoft bills the plan on your Azure invoice.
